PocketLearn's mission is to create and promote a "standards based" learning system specifically designed for "smart" devices. We have seen and are currently experiencing a significant proliferation of these "smart" devices, which include Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's) and mobile telephones. Using PocketLearn software, each of these devices can become a powerful tool for learning. We are committed to developing and making available free software to both create and utilize standardized educational content for current and future "smart" devices.

In addition to providing free software for creation and utilization of the content, PocketLearn maintains a large online repository of content, which can be browsed, searched, rated, downloaded, and added to. Content creators determine the destiny of their own creations by choosing one of many license types for their content. While we expect that much of the content created will be free, we also expect that some of the more sophisticated content will be available for purchase.
