The Louisa-Muscatine School District is initiating what could be a technological breakthrough in standardized testing.

Next school year, the L-M elementary school could be the first in Iowa to use Apple iPods for  special-education students when they take the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills.

The school used the iPods on a pilot basis last month to test how they would work.
