Australian expat David Droga has been making waves in New York. Paul McIntyre talks to him about his work there - and here.
New York's Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, has just signed up as one of David Droga's latest fans. The Australian expatriate, based in New York, has finally broken his silence about launching his communications firm this month in his homeland and detailed some of the disparate projects his 18-month-old company is working on in North America. Among them is an ambitious plan to use 1 million New York public school children as the genesis for a national media network on mobile phones to rival the big TV networks, NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox. The former financial journalist turned politician who built the global Bloomberg empire has bought into Droga's grand content and education vision and has signed off on the idea for the New York public school system.
