Students at a Tasmanian high school are turning their mobile phone obsession into a teaching tool.
Wynyard High School is running mobile phone lessons for older people in the area who struggle with the technology. In the latest session, teenagers helped more than a dozen seniors learn text message shorthand and even gave them a reference sheet. Support teacher Peter Massey created the program last year and says they'll turn it into a regular session. "They were totally engaged. I drifted around the room and asked how they were going and every couple were actually learning something," he said. Article link
