ePath Learning announces support of mobile learning (mLearning) with ePath Learning ASAP+, its integrated Learning Management Service. James Hardie is an early adopter using ASAP+ to develop, deliver, and manage mLearning courses for its sales team. With mLearning, the James Hardie sales team will have access to the organization’s online learning initiatives via their Blackberries or other mobile devices. This enhances the ability of the sales people to access training anywhere, anytime, and without the need for a PC or laptop. Mobile Learning or “mLearning” is the next step in the evolution of online learning. According to Allison Baughman, Organizational Development Manager of James Hardie, “This makes the most sense from a technology and cost-savings approach. We outfitted our employees with mobile devices to improve communications and productivity, so it is only logical that in addition to having access to email and the internet, they should also have access to training. Although our online learning initiatives have enabled our employees to access courses 24x7, there had been a limitation for those employees who rely primarily on their mobile devices when traveling or out of the office. Now, thanks to the support from ePath Learning, courses will be delivered right to their PDA.” Press Release link
