Azusa Pacific University tunes into mobile-learning signal |

Class is in session. Please turn on your cell phones. As the tide of mobile technology rises, leaders in higher education are turning a timeworn classroom rule on its head — and at least one local university is picking up the signal. Last month, Azusa Pacific University rolled out its first-generation mobile Web site, designed to put the school's interactive home on the Internet at its students' fingertips. APU students are now able to use any Internet-enabled mobile device to check campus news and calendars; get live scores from the basketball game; access faculty phone directories; and even find out what's for dinner in the cafeteria.
